Recently ArenaNet has announced a new race Kodan to the public in Guild Wars2. They have been mentioned in the introduction of the background of the hero race Norn. They all live in the cruel and extreme cold weather in the north and they are closely related to each other.
Kodans are intelligent and ten feet tall. Their whole bodies are covered by white feather and looks like bears. However they all stand with their feet. They always fight for their survival and brief. Every one of them is a warrior who wears heavy armor and holds dueling sword.
Kodans are quite proud and they have their unique firm belief. They believe that each race in the world will experience the endless cycle no matter Kodan, Human or Norn. Every cycle can make the race achieve the purification and get promotion in spirit. However the cycle is only involved in the race itself. After the cycle, Kodan is still Kodan and Human is still human. It is just related to the purification of themselves.
Kodans believe that they are the best race. They have the obligation to maintain the justice and order in the world of Tyria. They are natural law-executors and the guardians of the balance. Although the order in their mind may cause the killings and war, they will never care about. This is the most important spiritual pillar which support they leave the North.
